GCCCS TechFest 2026: Innovation, Technology, and Esports in One Event

Technology continues to shape the way people learn, communicate, and interact in today’s modern world. As students pursuing careers in the field of Information Technology, participating in technology-related activities helps us improve our knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and practical skills. One of the most exciting and memorable events we organized was the GCCCS TechFest 2026, a large-scale technology event designed to showcase innovation, technical skills, creativity, and collaboration among students.

The GCCCS TechFest 2026 was organized by our entire batch and was conducted through Google Meet and Facebook Live to make the activities accessible to a wider audience. The event featured different competitions and activities such as the Hackathon, Digital Art, Animation Design, League of Legends Tournament, and Valorant Tournament. The TechFest aimed to provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their talents, develop teamwork, and apply their technical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment.

One of the highlights of the event was the participation of students in various esports and technology-based competitions. The Valorant Tournament, in particular, attracted many participants who showcased teamwork, communication, strategy, and gaming skills throughout the competition. Aside from entertainment, the tournament also demonstrated how esports can help students develop critical thinking, cooperation, and decision-making abilities.

As part of the organizing committee, I was assigned to the Registration Committee, specifically handling the registration process for the Valorant Tournament. My responsibilities included assisting participants during registration, verifying player and team information, organizing participant records, and ensuring that all teams were properly documented before the tournament officially started. I also coordinated with other organizers to make sure that the registration process was smooth, organized, and free from confusion or delays.

Although my role was mostly behind the scenes, I realized how important the registration committee is in every event. Proper registration management ensures that participants are correctly accounted for and that the competition runs fairly and smoothly. Through this experience, I learned how to become more organized, responsible, and attentive to details. Managing participant information also taught me the importance of patience, communication, and teamwork when dealing with many people and handling event-related concerns.

Being part of the TechFest also helped me improve my teamwork and leadership skills. Organizing a large-scale event requires cooperation among different committees and proper coordination to ensure that every activity is successful. Every member of the organizing team played an important role, from technical support and hosts to documentation and registration staff. Working together with my classmates allowed us to overcome challenges and complete our tasks effectively.

The event also showed how technology and innovation can bring students together. Activities like the Hackathon and esports tournaments encouraged students to express their creativity, showcase their talents, and collaborate with others who share similar interests. The TechFest became more than just a school activity—it became a platform for learning, interaction, and growth for both participants and organizers.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from this experience is the importance of preparation and organization in handling events. Even simple tasks like registration require proper planning and attention to detail to avoid confusion and ensure smooth operations. I also learned that technology can greatly help in managing events more efficiently, especially when using digital tools and online platforms for communication and registration.

Overall, GCCCS TechFest 2026 was a successful, exciting, and meaningful experience. It not only allowed students to showcase their skills and talents but also gave organizers valuable experiences in teamwork, leadership, communication, and event management. I am grateful to be part of this event and thankful to my fellow organizers, participants, and instructors who contributed to its success.

This experience motivated me to continue improving my skills, participate in future technology-related activities, and apply the lessons I learned in both academic and professional settings. GCCCS TechFest 2026 will always be remembered as one of the most enjoyable and valuable experiences during my journey as an IT student.
