Organized Event 1: Introduction to AI and Its Role in Web Development

Technology continues to evolve rapidly, and one of the biggest innovations today is the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI). As students taking up Information Technology, learning and understanding these advancements is important because they will greatly influence the future of the tech industry. With this in mind, our group NextGen organized a webinar entitled “Introduction to AI and Its Role in Web Development” held on November 16, 2025, through Google Meet and Facebook Live.

The main objective of this webinar was to provide participants with knowledge and awareness about how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the field of web development. The webinar discussed how AI tools can help developers create more efficient, user-friendly, and innovative websites. It also focused on how AI is now being integrated into different areas of development such as automation, design assistance, data analysis, coding support, and improving user experience.

We were honored to invite Ms. Ethel Grace Verana as our guest speaker. She shared valuable insights, experiences, and practical knowledge about the real-world applications of AI in web development. Through her discussion, participants were able to understand that AI is not designed to replace developers but rather to assist them in making tasks easier, faster, and more productive. Her examples and explanations made the topic easier to understand, especially for students who are still exploring the field of web development.

As part of the organizing team, my assigned role was in documentation. Although my role was mostly behind the scenes, I realized how important documentation is in every event and activity. My responsibilities included taking screenshots during the webinar, recording important details and discussions, organizing files, and ensuring that the important moments of the event were properly documented for future reference and reports. Through this role, I learned how to be more organized, attentive, and responsible when handling event-related tasks.

Being part of this webinar also taught me the value of teamwork and cooperation. Organizing an online event requires proper communication, coordination, and preparation among all members. Every role was important in making the webinar successful, from the hosts and technical team to the speakers and documentation staff. Working together with my groupmates helped me improve my communication skills, time management, and ability to work under pressure.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from this webinar is the importance of staying updated with modern technologies. AI is becoming a major part of the technology industry, and as future IT professionals, we need to continuously learn and adapt to these changes. The webinar inspired me to explore AI-powered tools that can be used in school projects, website development, and other IT-related activities. I realized that learning these technologies can help us become more competitive and prepared for future careers.

The webinar was also successful because of the active participation of attendees and the smooth flow of the program. Conducting the event through both Google Meet and Facebook Live allowed more participants to join conveniently and engage with the discussion. The preparation, teamwork, and dedication of our group contributed greatly to the success of the activity.

Overall, this experience was meaningful and memorable for me. It not only expanded my knowledge about Artificial Intelligence and web development but also allowed me to gain practical experience in organizing and documenting an online event. I am thankful to our speaker, participants, and fellow organizers for making this webinar informative, productive, and successful. This activity motivated me to continue learning more about technology and to apply the knowledge and skills I gained in future projects and activities.
