 Exploring the Future of Learning: My Experience at the "Reinventing Learning Through AI" Seminar

On December 5, 2025, I had the privilege of attending an insightful seminar titled "Reinventing Learning Through AI" held at Holy Angel University in Angeles, Pampanga. This event brought together students, educators, and IT professionals to explore how artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming education and learning environments. Here are my key takeaways from this enriching experience.

What the Seminar Was About

The seminar focused on the intersection of AI technology and education, examining how modern data platforms are revolutionizing the way we learn. Rather than discussing AI as a distant future concept, the speakers presented real-world applications and practical implications of AI-driven systems that are already shaping education today.

One of the most impactful discussions was led by Mr. Leopoldo Jaime N. Valdez on how modern data platforms deliver AI-driven capabilities. He explained how these platforms collect, process, and analyze massive volumes of data to power intelligent systems. These capabilities enable automation, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making—all essential for building smart learning systems that can adapt to individual student needs.

Engr. Ericson Dimaunahan then presented the tangible benefits of AI in education. His presentation highlighted how AI supports personalized learning experiences, enables intelligent tutoring systems, automates assessments, and provides data-driven insights that benefit both students and teachers. A key message was that AI is designed to enhance education, not replace educators.

Personal Reflections

As a BSIT student, this seminar deepened my understanding of my field's impact on education. I appreciated how the speakers made complex AI concepts accessible to students at all levels of technical understanding. Their clear explanations and relevant examples made the content engaging and practical.
